While the transitions may appear smooth and controlled, the practice requires dedication, physical strength, and mental concentration. Compared to more relaxed yoga styles, Ashtanga Yoga is more physically demanding and follows a consistent, progressive system.

Thanks to its step-by-step approach, however, beginners are also welcome. You can start at your own pace, gradually building strength and familiarity with the sequence — no prior experience is required.
